14 March 2016
Main Job Position-
Sprayer/Jumbo

Those of us that were lucky enough to know Cooky will remember him as one of the funniest and smartest blokes in the game. There was no situation that he couldn’t talk his way into or out of. Which is why he’s the only bloke I know that managed to make $850 a shift spraying at Cliffs in 2008 and then get straight on the Jumbo! Originally from Queensland, he was known all over. One of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen and a friend that always had your back. One of the closest friends I’ve ever had and I will never forget him. Until we meet again brother. Bricey.

PAYING TRIBUTE TO PAST AUSTRALIAN MINING LEGENDS

Through a celebration of life, we can keep the memories going and the legends alive.

Support the Australian Mining community

As a community, we can be brought together through shared memories, photos, legendary stories and tokens of appreciation of those who have passed. If you have lost a mining mate or family member who worked in the mining industry, we encourage you to create a Tagged Off tribute in their honour! It’s free and easy to do.
